I am an AI Scientist at Neuropace. I finished my PhD in computational neuroscience (2023) at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. My research interests lie broadly at the intersection of neuroscience, machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI). During my PhD, I built AI-based tools for the classification of neural time-series patterns,  which has applications in clinical/research domains, brain-computer interfaces etc.

I have an academic and research background in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computational Neuroscience. I'm interested in using my engineering/computational background to understand neural mechanisms underlying different types of behavior in normal conditions and in neurological/neuropsychiatric disorders.  I am also interested in developing neuroscience inspired AI frameworks and architectures.

For my PhD, I worked jointly in Dr. Kanaka Rajan's and Dr. Helen Mayberg's labs. I was a research engineer at Stanford University School of Medicine before that.
